Alan Dale Huisinga, 76, of Mt. Pleasant, died Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa. A celebration of life for Al will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at the First United Methodist Church, 309 North Major Street, Mt. Pleasurable. The Reverend David Bracht-Wagner, Senior Pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the Forest Property Cemetery, Mt. Nice, with graveside navy honors executed by the Henry County Honor Guard and the Iowa Armed service Funeral Honors Detail.

Visitation will be from 12:00 midday to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 22, at the Initial United Methodist Church. The family members will be existing to get good friends from 4-7:00 p.m. An added visitation will be held on Sunday, April 24, from 2-5:00 p.m. at the Family members Existence Centre of the Carlisle United Methodist Church, 405 School Road, Carlisle, Iowa.

Al was born August 20, 1945, in Williams, Iowa he was the son of Joe and Ruth Ione (Smedley) Huisinga. On his retirement from EMC National Existence and moving to his wife’s hometown of Mt. Al was preceded in death by his mom and dad, his more mature brother, Larry, and his son, Chad Michael Huisinga.
