Patricia “Pat” Soukup, beloved spouse, mother and grandmother, handed away on Tuesday, May possibly 10, 2022, at Mayo Clinic Overall health Program in Mankato.

Visitation will be on Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. at Sturm Funeral Dwelling, Sleepy Eye, and will go on on Monday from 9:30 right until 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Sleepy Eye. There will be a Rosary at 5:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral house.

Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Sleepy Eye, on Monday, May perhaps 16, 2022, at 10:30 am.

The clergy will be Father Mark Steffl. Interment will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Sleepy Eye.

Arrangements are with Sturm Funeral Dwelling in Sleepy Eye. On-line condolences may be left for the relatives at www.sturmfh.com.

Pat was the fifth of 6 children, born on March 17, 1934, in Tracy, MN, to Wenzel and Barbara (Zangel) Sellner. She graduated from St. Mary’s Higher School in Sleepy Eye in 1953. Pat married the love of her daily life, Edward “Spud” Soukup on Oct 17, 1955, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye, MN. Their loving bond blessed them with a few small children whom they raised collectively on the spouse and children farm. Pat’s really hard get the job done ethic and powerful faith had been present her overall existence. She held a career at Pietrus Foodstuff, candling eggs Ries Jensen Insurance Company and for around 55 years was employed at Sleepy Eye Auction Marketplace in which she did bookkeeping. She also held many accounting careers in the Sleepy Eye neighborhood. Pat was a member of St. Mary’s CCW, earlier member of the Cecilian Choir, past 4H chief for the Sleepy Eye Fast paced Bees, a member of the Divine Providence Auxiliary and life span member of the VFW Females Auxiliary. Pat spent her time on earth with Spud at her side. She relished embroidering, crocheting and quilting and created many gorgeous goods about the yrs that are cherished by all who gained them. Pat preferred to prepare dinner, bake and backyard. Her little ones, grandchildren and fantastic-grandchildren brought happiness and joy to her lifetime. In all that Pat did, she was sustained by her religion and family. She will be dearly skipped.

Pat is survived by her devoted partner of over 67 yrs, Edward “Spud” Soukup daughters, Pam (Paul) Penkert of New Ulm, Deb (Pat) Buley of Mankato son, Tom (Ed Sepich) Soukup of Las Vegas, NV sister, Barb (William) Mielke of Brookings, SD sister-in-law, Mary Sellner of Rosemount grandchildren, Joey (Kim) Penkert, Jeremy (Katie) Penkert, Chelsey (Jay) Hoffmann, Riley (Samantha) Buley excellent-grandchildren, Carter and Avery Penkert, Blaine, Beckett and Baylor Penkert, Everett and Lincoln Hoffmann and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mom and dad siblings, Marcella (Benny) Suess, Bernice (Lawrence) Kirchner, Alex (Doris) Sellner, Floyd Sellner siblings-in-legislation, Lorraine (Art) Pelzel, Lucille (Maurice) Simonsen, Elmer (Hildegard) Soukup, Sylvester (Connie) Soukup, Harold Soukup, Victor Soukup mothers and fathers-in-regulation, Joseph (Mary) Soukup.

Thank you to Sleepy Eye physicians and nursing team for their treatment, Place Facet Retirement Community and health and fitness solutions and aides, Mayo palliative group and hospice nursing workers. Your compassion and caring was a blessing to all. Unique thank you to Chris Steffens, her particular caregiver.
